Midlothian Local Plan Review

In the coming year Midlothian Council will be reviewing their Midlothian and Shawfair Local Plans. One of these areas identified as a proposed site for population and household growth is the A701 corridor (including Loanhead/ Straiton, Bilston, Roslin, Auchendinny and Penicuik).

The Council will be consulting the Community Council on this matter. If your are interested in making a suggestion to the plan when they are developed why not become a Community Council member to make your views heard.

The council has just announced that the deadline for feedback is now 21st January 2005, as new areas have been proposed around Bilston and the A701 corridor. If you would like to provide your opinion to the council, you need to write to them before then:
