PREVIOUS MINUTES
The minutes from the November meeting were proposed by F. Renton
and
Seconded by L. Stuart.

POLICE REPORT
8 Crimes reported
3 Solved
It was reported that a new Police Partnership had been started
in January to
help with local issues. Representatives from local groups will
meet after the
Community Council Meetings to discuss these issues. It was reported
that
Overall Midlothian has the highest rate of solved crimes in Scotland.
The CCTV Pole will be erected half way down Main Street and will
host
One camera.

TREASURERS REPORT
There was £648.20 at 26th January.6
ENVIRONMENT REPORT
Works at the Kilburn have destroyed the Bluebells and local people
are very upset by this - explanation wanted. The area known locally
as Bluebell Wood has been destroyed and there has been no communication
regarding this issue from the Contractor.

TRANSPORT REPORT
1 Midlothian Council have agreed to accept tenders for the 15
& 15A Bus
Service for the next 3 years.
2 Horse Signs-still no word and the road surface is still slippy.
Cars are having
To brake and skid to avoid the horses on Langhill.
3 A school sign was requested for Main Street and Springfield
Place.

FEDERATION REPORT
Still looking for new members.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS
1 Traffic Islands and Flashing signs are in the process of being
erected.
2 Flashing Signs will not be erected in Bilston.
3 Cllr. K. MacKintosh will look into the possibility of Bilston
getting some Christmas Lights.
4 Due to the financial situation at Roslin Miners it was requested
that the possibility of Portacabins for Bilston and Roslin be
used for the provision of a Community Café which would
be used for the Community through the day and the youth at night.
