POLICE REPORT
There have been a total of 20 crimes reported. 6 of these have been
solved and 4 remain unsolved.

TREASURER'S REPORT
The balance on 31 May 2006 was £853.33

ENVIRONMENT REPORT
F. Renton attended a meeting about Edinburgh and Lothian's Local
Plan Review. The seminar detailed how housing can be shared between
the relevant areas. F. Renton has drafted responses to the questions
asked which were approved by the committee.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS
7.1 The Bilston Neighbourhood Watch have asked to hold their meeting
after the Community Council meetings held in Bilston on a trial
basis. The committee approved this and the first meeting will be
held in August.
7.2 A request for a donation has been made from Caroline Clark.
The committee agreed to donate £50.
7.3 The Bilston Summer Playscheme supported by MAP has requested
a donation to help fund equipment for the club. The committee agreed
to donate £50.
7.4 A letter of signatures from the residents of Castlelaw Crescent
was handed to the committee in support of replacing the grass square
in the street with grass-crete. The committee gave this issue their
backing and will bring it to the attention of Midlothian Council.
7.5 2 researchers from Jara Consultants attended the meeting on
behalf of the Rosslyn Chapel Trust. The are carrying out a scoping
study an wanted to know the thoughts of the community council. A
question and answer session took place to assist the gentleman with
their study.

The next meeting will be held on Tuesday 1 August at 8pm in Bilston
pavilion.

meeting closed at 9.15pm.
