1 MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MINUTES
The minutes of the October meeting were proposed by D. Hogg and seconded by S. Kay.

Apologies were received from F. Renton, M. Gordon, A. Fleming and Cllr K. McIntosh

3 POLICE REPORT
No report available

4 TREASURER'S REPORT
4.1 The Balance on 31 October 2005 was £918.28
4.2 The Accounts for 2004/2005 which were unavailable at the AGM are attached to a copy of these minutes.

5 TRANSPORT REPORT
Nothing to report.

6 PLANNING
6.1 Rosslyn Chapel Trust, erection of temporary wooden storage building at Rosslyn Chapel, Chapel Loan, Roslin. No opposition.
6.2 Mr K. Cunningham, extension to dwellinghouse at 62 Park Avenue, Bilston. No opposition.

7 CORRESPONDENCE
7.1 Information regarding proposed 7.5 Tonnes Weight Limit on U101 road at Damhead.
7.2 Midlothian Council - Midlothian Schools Plus Programme
7.3 Midlothian Council - Minutes of meetings
7.4 Water Customer Panels - Invitation to attend Public meeting. No one available to attend.


8 LOCAL PLAN REVIEW
8.1 M. Gordon and F. Renton were absent from the meeting as they are attending a Workshop offering an early opportunity for Community Councils to get involved in the process and to be informed of the development option being proposed by the council. They shall report back at the next meeting.
8.2 The Consultation Programme for the Midlothian and Shawfair Local Plan will be in the area at the following times;
Exhibition - Loanhead Library, 31 October until 9 December
Community Bus - Main Street, Roslin, 15 November, 10.00am-2.00pm and 25 November, 3.00pm-6.00pm
Community Bus - Meadow Place, Bilston, 16 November, 10.00am-2.00pm and 24 November, 3.00pm-6.00pm
Public Workshop - Beeslack High School, 16 November, 7.00pm-9.00pm

9 ANY OTHER BUSINESS
9.1 A. Fleming to lay wreath from Community Council on remembrance Sunday.
9.2 J. Sharp to get grant application forms from the Oatslie Liaison Group for local groups.
9.3 The Community Council is to run a stall at the Bilston Nursery Christmas Sale in November. The money raised from the stall will be donated to a local club.
9.4 At the last meeting of the Federation of Community Councils the subject of Consumption of Alcohol in Public Places was raised. After the occurrences during Gorebridge Gala Day, Gorebridge CC decided to put pen to paper and write to Midlothian Council in this regard. The Federation members asked that the letter represent all communities in Midlothian. A copy of this letter is available on request.
9.5 The Federation has requested a meeting with Charles Galbraith regarding finances and expenses in particular. This may have an impact on the levy paid to the federation. F. Renton to keep the committee updated.

10 NEXT MEETING
The next meeting will be held on 6 December at 8.00pm in Roslin Community Hall.
