MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MINUTES
The minutes of the June meeting were proposed by D. Hogg and seconded
by S. Kay.

APOLOGIES
Apologies were received from F. Renton and Cllr R. Imrie.
3 POLICE REPORT
3.1 During the month of July there were 15 reported crimes of these
were in Bilston and the remainder in Roslin. 7 of these were solved.
3.2 M. Gordon enquired about the increasing amount of people in
Bilston Glen. P.C. Murie advised that the numbers did swell over
the G8 period but have now returned back to the level before the
summit.
3.3 A new way of reporting incidents is to be introduced over the
next few months but Lothian and Borders Police in the Penicuik.
Members of the public can report incidents via a postal form. P.C.
Murie passed round the forms and advised the committee of how they
are used.

TREASURER'S REPORT
4.1 The Balance on 25 July was £915.96

TRANSPORT REPORT
5.1 A. Fleming enquired about a bus service in Roslin during the
on-going Lothian Bus driver's over time ban. M. Ewart advised that
Lothian Buses were running a special 15A service that covered Penicuik,
Roslin, Bilston and Auchendinny to Fairmilehead where passengers
would then be transferred onto a waiting 15A into the city centre.

BILSTON CLINIC
6.1 K. McIntosh is looking into getting a safe crossing near the
Gowkley Moss roundabout for villagers to access the new Roslin Surgery
but foot.
6.2 K. McIntosh has also received figures from Dr. MacDonald regarding
about where patients who use the surgery live.

PLANNING
7.1 Mr Graham Saunders, erection of a conservatory at Lea Park Road,
Roslin. No opposition.
7.2 Mr and Mrs Easton, formation of driveway at 14 Allermuir Avenue,
Bilston. Permission granted with conditions.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS
9.1 A. Fleming has reported a ton bag of gravel stones on Penicuik
Road.
9.2 The loop system in Roslin Community Hall is to be fitted over
the next few weeks.

NEXT MEETING
The next meeting will be held on 6 September at 8.00pm in Roslin
Community Hall. The following meeting will be the Annual General
Meeting held on Tuesday 20 September at 8.00pm in Bilston Pavilion.
