of the Community Council Annual General Meeting held on 28 September
2004 at 2000 hours in Roslin Community Hall.

The
Chairperson welcomed everyone to the meeting and thanked the past
years members for all their work.

were received from F. Renton, M. Gordon, A. Fleming and Cllr R.
Imrie.

POLICE REPORT
No
Police report was available.

DONATIONS
Over
the past year Donations were given to the following:
Bilston Youth Club
St. David's Brass Band
Roslin Playgroup
Karate Competitors

FUNDRAISING
The
Committee organised teas and coffees at Roslin Fun Day. The proceeds
were donated to Bilston Kids Club and Youth Club

TREASURERS REPORT
The
Treasurer talked through the balance sheet for the year (copy attached).

This
year we received resignations from the following members:

On
the night nominations were received from:
D. Hogg, Castlelaw Crescent, Bilston - Proposed by J. Collins and
seconded by S. Kay.

and seconded by D. Hogg.

ELECTION OF OFFICE BEARERS
The
following members were elected for the post of office bearers:
Chairperson - Donna Hogg was proposed by M. Ewart and seconded by
S. Kay.
Vice Chairperson - Matthew Gordon proposed by D. Hogg and seconded
by S. Kay.
Secretary - Martyn Ewart proposed by D. Hogg and seconded by J.
Collins.
Treasurer - Shelley Kay proposed by M. Ewart and seconded by S.
Kay.
Transport - Fiona Renton proposed by M. Ewart and seconded by J.
Collins

TRANSPORT REPORT
10.1
Midlothian Council was informed of repairs needed to several roads
in the area. Relevant action was taken by the council.
10.2 Speed cushions were installed on Seafield Road.
11
ENVIRONMENT
11.1
The Community Council in conjunction with Midlothian Council are
aiming to tackle the problem of dog fouling on public pathways and
parks. This initiative is ongoing.
11.2 The re-installation of public toilets in Roslin was raised
at some of our meeting. The Community Council sought the opinion
of residents, through public petitions, on the matter. With hardly
any support the Community Council considered the matter closed.

PLANNING
No
objections were made towards any planning applications.

NEXT MEETING
The
next meeting will be held on 5 October 2004 at 8.00pm in Bilston
Pavilion.
The
meeting closed at 8.15pm.
