MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MINUTES
The
minutes of the August meeting were proposed by D. Hogg and seconded
by M. Gordon.

Apologies
were received from F. Renton, Cllr K. McIntosh and Cllr R. Imrie.

POLICE REPORT
No
police report was available.

TREASURER'S REPORT
4.1
The Balance on 30 July 2004 was £1366.15

TRANSPORT REPORT
5.1
D. Hogg was approached by a resident who had been knocked back
by the Council to build a disabled access drive-way in Castlelaw
Crescent. D. Hogg to petition residents in the area for the square
in Castlelaw Crescent to be grass-creted.
5.2 M. Gordon raised the issue about the recent waiting restrictions
imposed in Meadow Place. He pointed out that there were no signs
in place to show what the waiting restrictions and times are.
5.3 A. Fleming informed the committee that two kerbstones opposite
14 Penicuik Road had been pulled out the road. A. Fleming to inform
Midlothian Council of this.

ENVIRONMENT REPORT
There
was nothing to report.

PLANNING
7.1
Waste recycling Group (Scotland) Ltd, Oatslie Sandpit landfill
Site, Cleugh Road. Amendment to the layout and restoration proposal
for the landfill entrance area installation of electricity generating
equipment to Saturday hours of working. No opposition.
7.2 Alexander Townsley Gordon, carnethy View, Bilston. Outline
permission for residential development at Land At Burnbank Terrace,
Bilston. No opposition.
7.3 Mrs Robson, 3A Manse Road Roslin. Installation of replacement
windows. No opposition.

A. Fleming informed the Council that the sign Outside the Original
hotel is being covered by an overgrown tree.
9.2 Community Council newsletter has been approved and will be
delivered to homes in Roslin and Bilston.
9.3 A letter was received from D. Watson regarding her resignation
from the committee.

next meeting will be the Annual General Meeting to be held on
28 September 2004 at 8.00pm in Roslin Community Hall.
